I’m assuming that’s why you’re here with me right now, and I’m going to share a strategy that I use when I help some of my clients GET CLIENTS. Whatever level you’re at in your businesses you want growth. Sometimes that might mean filling your coaching practice or it could mean finding your next-level clients (e.g. charging more).
GIVE & RECEIVE
It pains me to think of YOU not serving at your full capacity! If you have open spots, it creates two frustrating and painful experiences.
- Those empty spots have a perfect client out there somewhere that you’re not able to GIVE your gifts.
- You aren’t RECEIVING the revenues you could be generating and supporting YOUR EPIC LIFESTYLE.
BOOM & BUST
I’ve been creating clients for 20 years as a consultant and as a coach. I know what it’s like to live the boom and bust in your growth. So I know what it’s like to live in total broke, busted and broken. I get it! So where ever you’re at, I’m fucking with you all the way.
We are going to use a simple formula: WHAT/WHY/WHEN/HOW
Here’s the basic framework to magically create your goals. This is different than basic goal setting because we’re going to bring in a layer of heart-resonance that will use your passion and purpose to magically manifest all you desire.
When I walk my one-on-one clients through this process, it can take a full session to get it razor clear and in full alignment with their purpose and full potential. There are so many things that can get in the way of your results manifesting. The more alignment you bring in these statements the more powerful they will become.
To the degree you’re creating in a fractured space is the degree you will have to struggle or work hard to make your desires a reality.
This must be your one thing if you want to execute it quickly.
The one thing to make all things easier or unnecessary.
If you want to learn more about this technique, please read The ONE Thing by Gary Keller. When answering the WHAT, it is required that you peel back the layers into the lowest common denominator to achieve your purpose-aligned goals. For creating new clients, there are actually a number of ways you could go about this.
It’s IMPORTANT to have the right approach to where you’re at in the moment of declaration. To illustrate this, there is a huge distinction between the following… Let’s say you want 5 new clients at $10,000.
Your WHAT could be any of the following:
- Get 5 new clients.
- Close 5 new clients and make $50,000 in revenues.
- Offering 5 new clients at $10,000.
Now if you’ve never closed a $10,000 client and you have some self-worth or money blocks, you might be more effective if you started with “I’m proposing 5 new clients at $10,000.” I have walked several clients into closing their first $10,000 client using this strategy, some of them brand new coaches in their twenties.
So, I cannot stress how important it is… And, at the same time, how REALISTIC THIS IS.
This is why manifesting doesn’t work for most, it’s because they’re trying to manifest while they have subconscious patterns (blocks, limiting beliefs, etc.) working against them. You need to manifest YOUR NEXT STEP. You can’t close deals unless you can offer deals. So start with the lowest common denominator to get what you desire.
Do you know your WHY?
If not, stop reading and figure it out ASAP! A good place is to start with It Starts With Why by Simon Sinek. This is generally about finding your business why which is great, but you need to find your WHY for your life and then bring your business into alignment to your DEEPEST WHY.
This is your Inner Truth that will provide you the fuel to burn down anything that gets in your way. This fuel will overcome internal and external challenges that will come along the way. DIG DEEP here! The deeper you go, the more powerful you will show up and attract what you desire.
To bring more power into your purpose, you must know your deepest WHY. This is your WHY you do everything you do in life. When you know this you can find a more specific WHY in your WHAT. You will find that when your WHY aligns with your DEEPEST WHY, you bring more clarity to what you seek to create.
If you don’t put constraints on yourself, then the rest of the world will do it for you. And, I say, “FUCK THAT!!!” The world lives to my constraints! So, take responsibility for your REALTY and CREATE by a DATE. Commit to a specific date and time you intend on reaching your goal.
This is where I see EVERYONE FUCK IT UP!
Just about every coach that has hired me has so many projects that it makes my head spin so fast it becomes unhinged.
You need to list your items in the HOW in details and steps. I also use a few different approaches that align with my WHY and WHAT so that I can create the results by the WHEN. For example, say that I wanted five new clients.
I would first create a specific list of 25 names of people I would love to work with. Then I would find a way to enter into a conversation with them. Another way I could accomplish this is to have a more indirect approach and could use FB Live that is intended for people like the 25 people I wanted to work with. I call this the double-barrel shotgun approach.
JUST FUCKING STOP!!!
You must stop and ask yourself, “What’s the ONE Thing that will make all things easier or unnecessary?” Not — “What’s the twenty projects, products or services I can have that will make me the money I need to pay my rent?”
Every coach that I have worked with has a course, podcast, blog, networking, webinar, groups, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and a fuck ton of other bullshit that wastes their time.
I call this FRACTURED AS FUCK!
Do you believe that you have to do all this shit to reach your goals? I see so many try to implement and scale their business according to established multimillion-dollar businesses. Those tactics work, but only at that level.
NEWSFLASH — You’re not there yet, and you can make it much easier If YOU LISTEN.
If you had to accomplish your goal tomorrow, what would you do? When I walk my clients through this, I ask them, “What’s at your fingertips that you could use today?” Your first instinct is usually right! Ask better questions about HOW to accomplish your goals.
Often, it’s reaching out to people in your network that you already know. Usually, these are friends or connections found on Facebook. I challenge you to message them and get into a conversation. In the conversation listen to areas you can help.
When you find those areas you can help, be prepared to make your offer. It’s all about entering into conversations! Some will be clients, some won’t, but use YOUR WHY and KEEP FUCKING MOVING.
If you don’t have specific people you can message or call, then create a simple Facebook post or Facebook Live and offer some free discovery calls (not free coaching sessions). Your goal on these calls is to simply help them get clear on their PAINS & PROBLEMS and their DREAMS & DESIRES.
The solution must fill the GAP between their PAINS & PROBLEMS and their DREAMS & DESIRES. You then OFFER them a solution through your paid offer.
